A Pittsburgh price for pop

It's not often I can get 2 liters of pop in New York for under $1. But Associated was selling it for $0.89 if I spent $25. And I did because I wanted beef stew and fish tacos.

  1. I bought green peppers today. They were on sale 3/$1

    1. That seems very cheap, but I don't actually know how much a pepper costs so I can't convert from per pound to per each. I bought one pepper and thought it was on sale, and it was twice your price.

    2. Some stores do a per lb price and some an each price. It's hard to convert. But usually peppers are 2/$1 at Sprputs but they were on sale. At safeway they are more. Bananas are -9 cents each at Trader Joe's. At sprouts they are per lb and it comes out to almost double that. But at safeway they are 54 cents each. All these prices make it so I have to go to 3 stores to get all they best deals.

    3. Holy heck. You almost never see a single bell pepper for under $1 here.

  2. I like that the receipts provide helpful hints on beef usage.
